Hi, I'm Dave.

I'm a guitar teacher and coach based in New York City. I've been playing for over 30 years, and music has always been like an old friend.

This is a video of me playing guitar with my family and friends around a campfire the day before my wedding โ€” one of the best days of my life. My hope for all my students is that you, too, can experience the joy of sharing music with the people you love.

A few years ago, I took my years of experience as a corporate trainer and used those skills to help adults reconnect with their love of music. I know how adults learn โ€” how to build real structure, create momentum, and keep people motivated for the long haul.

I created Campfire Guitarist Foundations because I kept seeing the same story: motivated adults picking up the guitar, hitting a wall, and giving up. Not because they lacked talent โ€” but because they lacked a real system. That's exactly what I provide.
