Does this sound like you?

Here's what we hear from guitarists every day.

😔
Years of wanting this
Never sure where to actually start.
🚧
Stuck on the same few chords
It still doesn't feel like real music.
▶️
Buried in YouTube videos
No direction. No feedback. No progress.
No idea what to practice
You practice and hope something sticks.
🎶
Too nervous to play with others
You'd love to jam, but the confidence isn't there.
😩
Guitar feels like a chore
It stopped being fun a while back.

You're not alone.

I want to help you push past these hurdles, so you can finally get to the fun part.

Many people wait years to pick up the guitar, or they start and give up because they have no direction, no system, and no one in their corner.

That ends today. There's a better way.

The Transformation

Imagine 6 months from now...

What becomes possible when you finally have the right structure, support, and system behind you.

🎸
Playing Clear, Confident Chords
No more buzzing or muted strings. Songs finally sound clean, clear, and recognizable.
⏱️
Practicing in a Relaxing Way
A 15–30 minute daily plan that makes every session productive and actually enjoyable.
🔥
Sharing Real Music
Guitar becomes something you enjoy at home, with friends, or around the campfire.

Your Coach

Hi, I'm Dave.

I'm a guitar teacher and coach based in New York City. I've been playing for over 30 years, and music has always been like an old friend.

This is a video of me playing guitar with my family and friends around a campfire the day before my wedding — one of the best days of my life. My hope for all my students is that you, too, can experience the joy of sharing music with the people you love.

A few years ago, I took my years of experience as a corporate trainer and used those skills to help adults reconnect with their love of music. I know how adults learn — how to build real structure, create momentum, and keep people motivated for the long haul.

I created Campfire Guitarist Foundations because I kept seeing the same story: motivated adults picking up the guitar, hitting a wall, and giving up. Not because they lacked talent — but because they lacked a real system. That's exactly what I provide.

It is never too late to pick up your guitar and make some beautiful music.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get enough support compared to one-on-one lessons?
Yes — and my hope is that this will feel even more supportive. Instead of only getting help during a single weekly session, you have multiple layers of support: structured video lessons, weekly group calls, community access, and direct video feedback on your playing. You're never left on your own for a week at a time.
What does "Founding Member" actually mean?
It means you're joining the first public version of Campfire Guitarist at a reduced rate — the lowest price this program will ever be. You also get bonus 1-on-1 access and the opportunity to help shape the curriculum with your feedback.
Is this right for my skill level?
This program is for adults who are brand new or who know a few chords but still struggle to put songs together. If you already play full songs comfortably with strong rhythm and advanced techniques, this may feel too foundational. Not sure? Schedule a free 30-minute call and I'll give you an honest recommendation.
What if other people in the group are better or worse than me?
That's completely normal — and actually part of what makes group learning effective. You'll move through a clear structure at your own pace. This is a supportive environment, not a competitive one. You'll often learn from questions you didn't even realize you had yet.
How does the video feedback work?
Each module includes simple challenges you submit by recording a short video on your phone. No pressure to be perfect — the goal is to share your progress. I personally review your playing and send you a brief video response with specific corrections, guidance, and next steps.

Still Not Sure?

Let's just have a quick, honest chat.

If you're on the fence, I'll spend 30 minutes talking through your guitar goals. If the program isn't the right fit, I'll tell you exactly what I think you should do next. You walk away with a clear plan — no matter what.
